Scenario: your own guest app — no app store, no developers

30 September 2026

Loyalty card with QR, bookings, menu and push notifications — a branded venue app that installs from the browser in seconds and launches in one evening.

Every restaurant owner has thought, "We should have our own app." Then the quote arrives for development, store publishing and maintenance — and the idea is pushed to next year.

Typical goal

A small restaurant with a terrace wants its regulars to:

  • always have their loyalty card at hand instead of digging through chats;
  • book a table in two taps;
  • hear about the new seasonal menu and live-music nights directly — not from random stories.

How it can be implemented in ResoGuest

  1. In the ResoGuest dashboard open Guest App, choose a name, colour and icon — and get the restaurant's app address.
  2. Put table tents with a QR code saying "Install our app" on every table.

The guest scans the code, the phone offers Add to Home Screen, and a few seconds later the restaurant's icon is on their screen. No app stores, no updates, no passwords: sign-in is a one-time SMS code.

What the guest gets

  • Card — a QR code for earning and redeeming points at the till, plus balance and tier.
  • Book — available times and table choice.
  • Menu — current dishes, ordering for pickup or dine-in.
  • Profile — name, birthday, notification consent.

Push notifications instead of broadcasts into the void

The real value is a direct line to the guest. A manager creates an offer in the dashboard: "Tuesday — tasting of the new seasonal menu, a glass of wine on the house for club members." One tap, and the notification lands on the lock screen of everyone who installed the app and allowed notifications.

The dashboard shows how many guests received the message and how many opened the offer. The push channel is also available in regular broadcasts, next to messengers.

What the client gets

  • The loyalty card is always in the guest's phone — the cashier doesn't need to search by number.
  • Announcements reach guests directly, without social-media algorithms or paid boosts.
  • "Your own app" can go live after one evening of setup — no developers, no store review.
